@akasha This is the melanistic Jaguar - Ali. He was born at Rotterdam Zoo in 1978 and arrived at Taronga Zoo 1979. Ali died in 1996 and was the last of his species at Taronga Zoo.
Oh seeing Ali here brings back fond memories from the same time. This would of been not long before he died and his exhibit here knocked down for the original Malayan Tapir exhibit (didnt remember how rusted the exterior of Ali's enclosure looked towards the end).
