The orangs don't seem to have wasted any time in making full use of what looks like a brilliant exhibit.

@Gigit I’ll be posting a full review of the exhibit as soon as I’ve done uploading the photos, but I can honestly say it exceeded all expectation.

Melur - Queen of all she surveys!

@Tafin Melur is certainly Charlie's queen. She's his clear favourite vs. the other female orangutan, Wanita, who he shows little interest in.

@Zoofan15 Because Wanita is older/post reproductive?

@Tafin Staff said in the past that none of the male orangutans (Horst, Charlie or Isim) showed interest in Wanita - likely because she underwent a partial hysterectomy and could not breed. Gangsa was Charlie’s favourite; but her aggression towards Wanita and Melur led to her Gangsa being removed and paired with Isim.
