The zoo's small colony of Geochelone platynota were considered for one of RepTopia's new outdoor habitats, adjacent to the croc monitor and Chinese gator enclosures.
However, the head of the dept came to the conclusion that the location's surrounding humidity would prove unsuitable for them. Instead, a portion of the Manouria emys colony from Bornean Marsh will be taking their place.
