@Matthew Guimac I do not know how many are currently in the US, however I do know Bronx has become the 5th US zoo to keep the species. The others are San Diego, Miami, The Wilds, and Minnesota. Bronx's three males came from San Diego.
@ThylacineAlive Will the dholes eventually go through a breeding recommendation by the AZA since that they are classified as endangered at the Bronx Zoo?
@Matthew Guimac I have no idea what the AZA is going to recommend though the most collections which pick up the species the more likely the AZA will want an official program organized.
