Black-faced spoonbill (Platalea minor)

Believed to be the last Black-faced spoonbill in Europe? At least in public collections.

I actually thought it had passed away or something as it's been reported as "not seen" on zootierliste 2018, 2019, and 2020.
The individual is located in the "African aviary" in the corner by the lake/Japanese garden/crane walkway. And I believe that is where it's been kept earlier years as well.

Amazing species!
