An old photo. Asian elephants are now housed in several other paddocks and buildings in The Kingdom of Ganesha at Pairi Daiza. Two walk-through monkey islands (one with squirrel monkeys, one with black howler monkeys) can now be found at this location.
In the Pairi Daiza news topic someone asked for images of the Mersus Emergo when it served as an elephant barn.

Pairi Daiza News 2020 [Pairi Daiza]

The Mersus Emergo is Pairi Daiza's reptile house ship, but at the lower levels it also houses indoor areas for animals housed nearby (such as the giraffes, the shoebills, pygmy hippos, pelicans, squirrel monkeys, black howler monkeys and siamangs at present, and elephants and hippos in the past).

Personally I only have pictures of the elephant paddock that was once located next to the Mersus Emergo, and I posted those in an attempt to help that person out.

I also decided to post some pictures of Pairi Daiza's first hippopotamus exhibit, which was also located next to the Mersus Emergo.

While looking for the elephant pictures I came across pictures of a hippo calf, a kori bustard and some parrots that I could not resist posting.

Going through and posting pictures from past visits is something that I actually enjoy, and might do again in the future.

However for the nearby future I am planning to focus on posting my pictures from my recent two-day visit to Pairi Daiza.
