I’ve already expressed my distaste for this unneeded and cheesy renovation. Ruining a fantastic exhibit. They should honestly just demolish all of this. It looks so fake there isn’t even anything informative it’s just stupid.
@Dhole dude hi.The geology inside of the new Tiger Lair exhibit (including the waterfall) is Jointed Columnar Basalt. This is an example of a geothermal formation that makes a connection between the Amur Tigers and the animals in MN Zoo's Russia Grizzly Coast. The Tigers and the other animals of RGC (as well as the geology within) are all from the Russian Far East. The Tiger lair Exhibit is not quite finished yet. Painting will be completed shortly. I'm sorry that you "see" a tiger paw waterfall, but it is not a paw just the way Jointed Columnar basalt breaks. If you want I would be happy to give you a tour when it's completed and explain the reasoning behind it all. Just p.m. me. Thanks Gg3
