They ignored each other (stayed apart) most of the time. The reason the otters came to the edge (where the babirusa already was) is because the child of some Russian tourists or immigrants who do not know how to behave at a zoo was dangling a long palm frond into the enclosure to entice the otters. I was going to leave and look for a staff member, but thankfully one showed up right after this. In this photo, the otters apprehensive look is towards the branch (out of view to left), not at the babirusa.
