Sun Bear outdoor

@twilighter Whoopee. (If a zoo has enough space for moats, they should take advantage of said space, although I understand if they took the idea of a moat out for cost/maintenance reasons.)

@Wyman It's highly unlikely that they ever considered moats in this area. They basicly merged the outdated outdoor cages and created bigger and way better enclosures. The whole layout with surrounding alleys is more or less the same.

@Chlidonias My reasoning is that whenever zoos have the opportunity, different methods of viewing an animal should be employed, perhaps a moat in one corner (of course one that the animal can access), a mesh viewing area in another, a glass viewing area in another. Moats allow for glare-free and unobstructed viewing of an animal, unless of course a zoo is pressed for space. That's just my personal opinion, no hard feelings or anything. That said, from what I've seen of the renovated Alfred Brehm Haus, FANTASTIC design, would love to see this in person as the foliage matures and one truly feels as if they are in a rainforest, overall Knieriem truly knocked it out of the park!

@Wyman I absolutely agree with the point that there should exist different viewing points for the exhibits, and quite honestly different Styles of enclosures, and different ways of arranging animals within zoos. As much as I absolutely ADORE this new Alfred Brehm house (10/10 from what I've seen) I'm rather... Unsure about the Berlin Tierpark becoming geographically distributed... I think it would chisel away at its unique identity, making it just another post 2000's zoo with a geographic distribution. I absolutely approve of making reforms, but... I'd rather they keep the taxonomic approach.
