Taken 5/30/18. This exhibit complex has 26 exhibits, including the large walk-through visitor path of the indoor experience. The only outdoor exhibit is the one for jaguar, which is viewed from both the interior and exterior of the building.
These sculptures are based on an Aztec sculpture of a god known as Xochipilli which was discovered in Mexico. This diety was the god of flowers, art and creativity and was associated with hallucinogenic / entheogenic plants that were ingested by the Aztec elite and high priest social class like the peyote cactus, psilocybin mushrooms, morning glory and datura vine flowers and the salvia divinorum mint plant.
