The Reptile House is a huge disappointment at Pairi Daiza, with terrible or non-existent labeling and many small terrariums, but there are several very large exhibits that are quite impressive. I've seen green iguanas in tiny shoeboxes in some American roadside zoos and so the enclosure in this photo is memorable. It's just too bad that most of the Reptile House at this Belgian zoo is substandard.
@snowleopard I agree with your criticisms of the Mersus Emergo reptile house at Pairi Daiza. The subpar signage and the low quality of some exhibits is also something I dislike, and I have commented on those matters before. I also dislike the creaking floors, the narrow walkways and the enclosed atmosphere in this house, that is also often crowded (and even now with Covid-19 the maximum number of people allowed in with intervals between groups seemed to still be quite high to me).
Personally I like the reptile house at Antwerp quite a bit more than this one. The reptile house at Antwerp also has some less than ideal exhibits, but not as many weak ones as the one at Pairi Daiza in my opinion.
That said, it is true that there are also some decent and even good exhibits in the Mersus Emergo.
