Fishing Cat Trail - Sunda Pangolin

An active pangolin is a joy to observe but a pain to photograph in low light!

How often do you see the pangolin active on your visits? Is this an unusually active sighting, or something you see often?

If available it's better to see a Sunda Pangolin during the keeper chat. The trainer will bring one out in front of an audience. Make sure to get front-row seats.

@RatioTile That is how the San Diego Zoo exhibited their pangolin also when they had one. It made for a very engaging demonstration of pangolin behavior and lifestyle.

@DavidBrown with this new exhibit, the pangolins do seem a lot more active. I also understand that the keepers rotate the animals on exhibit throughout the night to keep them active.

As mentioned by @RatioTile the keeper talk is another good opportunity to see the pangolins active. The talks are currently suspended due to COVID-19 social distancing rules though.
