There are quite a few zoos in the Scandinavian nations with enormous, natural enclosures that are much larger than what is found in typical urban zoos. I remember reading an article about how a country like Sweden has stern regulations about the size of animal exhibits and therefore there are loads of zoos in the region with truly impressive habitats that are occasionally several acres in size. This Norwegian zoo certainly seems to give its animals a lot of space!
