Thank you! This brings back some old memories, I do believe that the red-panda was only housed temporarily in the outside enclosure. I can't remember whether it was a offspring or if their enclosure was being renovated.
Red panda was at the small mammal house for just a short period, but I can't remember why. Maybe it was in the period between the reconstruction of the current large enclosure for prairiedogs in which the former panda enclosure was incorporated and the renovation of the current panda enclosure, which is one of the former bear enclosures (for Syrian brown bears untill the late 1990's, sloth bears untill the early 2000's, spectacled bear and coatis untill 2014).
