It appears so that they will be able to remain open. We will see what the next year brings. Another hard summer and it might be tough to stay open. Several fundraisers were held up here in Alaska, with some large corporations and many small business sponsors and they were able to raise enough to “keep the lights on.”

I think I mentioned it in another post a few months back...but I was really worried that Covid quarantines, economic malaise, and shifting priorities (along with some tactical activism) was going to be the death knell for many zoos and aquariums.

I hope I was wrong.
