Italy - 212 to 205 million years ago - Drepanosaurid reptile (Drepanosauridae) - Subpar paleoart day #8 (this is me participating in Paleoctober 2020)
For the making of this drawing I highly referenced a piece by the amazing paleoartist Gabriel N. U. (https://twitter.com/SerpenIllus/status/874270070742110208). The colors were based off of modern lizards. I should note that the dewlap (the neck thingy) is completely speculative and is based on modern male green anoles (Anolis carolinensis) which use their dewlaps to intimidate rival anoles and communicate territory.

@Austin the Sengi I'm actually following a prompt put on Twitter by another, much more talented paeloartist and in that prompt tomorrow calls for a certain extinct praying mantis. That being said, within the coming weeks one of the day's prompt is a certain flamingo-like pterosaur. And of course once #Paleoctober is over I could always just draw pterosaurs then.
