Sandbar shark (Carcharhinus plumbeus)

The sandbar shark is distinguishable for its high first dorsal fin and its interdorsal ridge and usually have heavy set bodies and rounded snouts that are shorter than an average shark’s snout.
Sandbar sharks are also one of the most popular sharks at any public aquarium because of them being on of the “safe sharks” to swim with.
