@CheeseChameleon2007 — No worries; however, this is a good example of why you should be careful about what you post and how you phrase it. For one, you know what they say about assumptions... It’s always best not to do so.They historically housed more animals, this is true, but the population has dwindled in recent years. There are only 11 animals left in the whole population.
@Kudu21 I know, I should definitely be more careful. But If I were to know this information, where would I find it? How did you find it? They have had so many births over the years, and they often keep "bragging" about it. I just thought there would be so much more there. And again, my answer wasn't final. It was just a start, and thank you for correcting it. O.C. needed help, and I tried the best I could, as I thought I knew the answer.
@CheeseChameleon2007 Much appreciated Cheese chameleon, but I think "needed help" is a bit strong / urgent sounding , I was just curious because I have an interest in the prosimians and wondered if anyone knew how many of these were kept.
@Onychorhynchus coronatus — Oh, absolutely. They have historically held them in three or four exhibits at once between Jungle Trails and Night Hunters, with additional animals behind the scenes. Looking back at a stock list from 2016, they had seven at the time.
@CheeseChameleon2007 — I think that bigger picture is just that, in general, it is best to be conscious about what you’re posting and whether or not the information you’re sharing is factual and helpful. Posting assumptions or hear-say or etc. leads to misinformation and rumors. That said, everyone does make mistakes, and I know you were likely just eager to help, so don’t worry too much about it— just learn from it for next time.
