white tailed deer

November 2, 2020, Sabino Canyon, Arizona.
Thanks. This is one of a pair that I was following for a little while as they walked towards the main parking lot. (I saw them after seeing a buck farther up the path that I got close to but did not get really great photos of). As this pair was walking down and pausing they never paused in the right spot. I wanted a large cholla behind them for effect. Finally this one paused in front of a cholla - actually the cholla was just right of it - but I moved a bit to my left to line them up. Patience paid off.

@Arizona Docent Patience sure does pay off. I once sat out on my deck in the wintertime reading, and eventually after more than (30?) minutes, 5! White tailed deer slowly trotted into my snowy backyard and sat down for a little rest. A cool moment, but the pictures I got a couple years ago were pretty blurry and are not presentable on zoochat, our of sheer bad quality. Yikes!
