A magnificent species, unfortunately this old bird is the only one in the UK. Walled garden, Paradise Park, Hayle. 27th May 2015.

@gentle lemur Was he born here or where did he come from ?

@Onychorhynchus coronatus I'm sorry that I don't know where he came from; ZTL says that Hayle kept this species from 1974, so he might have been wild caught, Jersey also had this species at around that time. I think this bird was the father of the first chick reared in the UK in 1991. Unfortunately the old fellow passed away in early 2016.
