Burma was born at a logging camp in Myanmar in 1982 and arrived at Auckland Zoo in 1990; Anjalee was born at an elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka in 2006 and came to the zoo in 2015. Anjalee has almost caught up to Burma in size.

@Jambo I've thought that for a couple of years, so while I'd love to be proved wrong; I don't believe she's pregnant. It must just be her natural body shape. The information I received from staff in July was that no further AI attempts have been made since the two (unsuccessful) attempts from 2017/2018.
