Alfred-Brehm-House indoors at tierpark berlin.

Tiger indoors
The former alpine Ibex exhibit was transported to the Cathouse and is now used for lions and indo chinese tigers.

It's going to annoy me, that 'sarcasm'... It's just not funny and you don't need to show anyone how much you hate some zoos.

Lol it is irritating. I had no idea it was you who took the photo of the tiger drinking that got entered into the "best picture" competition :)

Animal, you have to know much better than anyone here, that many zoo enthuasitsts didn't understand humor, irony or sarkasm, what a pitty. And I don't "hate"any zoo.

But I know you like the Berlin Animal park because its incredicble " Collection", nevertheless most animals are kept in very bad enclosures or cages, but you don't care about that, Hmm ?

I agree with Zebraduiker. This indoor big cat enclosure is terrific, and it even looks like a real jungle!:)

It doesn't look like a jungle but it's bigger than most indoor houses, the majority of which are made of concrete anyway. I just wonder why the outdoor area is lacking the plants and that that the tigers have in the zoo?

Yes, the indoor exhibit is big, no doubt, and at the time it was opened in the mid sixties, it was sensational, but now, we have 2009, and it is time, to remove the rocks and replace them to natural ground, and more enrichment and hiding places.

Unfortunately, the very small outdoor enclosure has mostly rock ground, too.
