Thanks. I wonder if São Paulo still keeps these antelope as well, since those could be kept in their farm, just like the zebras and waterbuck. I saw one for the first time when I went to the São Paulo zoo, in 2013, I cheered with joy.

@Enzo The São Paulo zoo species list shows all the species kept in both the farm, CECFAU and the zoo itself, and gemsboks do not appear on it. I think the only institutions holding them in Brazil nowadays are Belo Horizonte and Brasília.

The Beto Carrero World's zoo keeps some individuals as well, I think. When I went there, in 2015, I saw one (I probably saw some more there, but I don't remember very well).

In my personal opinion, the male gemsbok kept at the Brasília Zoo, whose name is Copán, should be moved to the Beto Carrero World's zoo.

@Enzo If Beto Carrero holds a single female, yes, it would be ok to move it, but if it's a single male, I wouldn't think it's a good idea. Actually, for being gregarious animals, these few individuals living in Brazil nowadays should be kept all together, in my opinion. Don't know wich institution would be better to hold the herd though. The exhibits destinated for this species in BH and Brasília have more or less the same quality; so any of them would be ok in my opinion. Don't know how their exhibit in B. Carrero is. Do you have pictures of it? Do you remember how it looks?
