When I made this picture I was traveling without a E African bird guidebook (gave my one away to local rangers) and was only traveling with the Birds of the Horn of Africa, so misidentified it at the time as Scaly Francolin, when it is in fact a Jackson's Francolin, which is a near-endemic to Kenya...
