Snowleopard Exhibit at the Berlin Tierpark

This Exhibit, better to call it a cage, what it is, opened in 1998 !
No, some zoos in 1898 have build better and bigger cats cages.....Do you follow the discussion here ( see the jaguar pic ) Like I said, the collectin is more important than a good exhibit. So what do you think would happen, if a little zoo with only common species would have such poor exhibits for big cats ? This people would critize them totally....But if the same zoo would have sumatran rhinos, mountain tapirs, mountain nyalas and more, and would keep chinese tigers in such exhibits, this would be absolutly okay for these guys..I think, there is diffrence between zoofriend and animal friend...

I still don't see why this exibit couldn't have been made taller to include those rocks and maybe a tree or two.

it has suma rhinos!
Berlin? No it doesn't, no where in Europe, and I think it's only 2 zoos in America that hold the only ones in captivity.

@Cat-Man: Only the White Oak Conservation Centre and Cincinnati Zoo have sumatran rhinos. That's it for individuals in captivity, and the rhinos are found nowhere else but the wild after those two establishments.

Don't forget the five at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Sumatra (including Andalas, who was born at Cincinnati Zoo.) :)

And I want to remember you, this park has 160 hectares, 400 acres...

Indeed this is a very big zoo and has an impressive collection but they chose to put all their big cats in small prisons.
