@Dhole dude Thanks for replying. Is this just a temporary display? As that looks way too small for a snake that size and it's lacking anywhere to hide.
The thing is I've been to this zoo so many times, and the rest of the jungle section is actually okay. The fish tanks are big enough, and even the anaconda tank is reasonable. But its so weird that this small little crate habitat is allowed with all the other great habitats in this exhibit. Why couldn't they just stick a tank into a wall, they have plenty of room.
@CheeseChameleon2007 I agree. Why did they put a Rainbow Boa in a chest on the path. That boa can barely move around in there and has no where to hide. They probably take it out sometimes to stretch out (I hope), but this is . . . this is just bad.
@red river hog Yes, its such a beautiful species too. I think the theme they were trying to replicate is some jungle explorer found this animal and put it in a temporary crate or something. What's even worse, this habitat is right next to the trash cans.
@CheeseChameleon2007 That's what it seems to be, which is not good, because this is it's permanent home, not a temporary home. There's a similar one at the National Aquarium for a tarantula. It's a small exhibit in a large rainforest building, that has really nice exhibits (except this one). The exhibit goes in both directions a little bit more, but that's mostly all there is.
