SAVANNAH ENCLOUSURE

This large enclosure has blackbuck antelope, eland, reticulated giraffes, ostrich and lewche antelopes.

Pretty interesting that this facility would have blackbuck, an antelope from India, in the same enclosure as giraffes and elands, which are (of course) from Africa. The exhibit does look nice and roomy though.

@deathmetalfan6 I've been to a zoo that had Blackbuck with White-tailed Deer. They don't have the Blackbuck anymore, though.

This enclosure had springboks in the eighties, but they did not do well here. After they bought gazelles, which also had problems. Then the blackbucks came from Morelia and Chapultepec zoos and they have adapted well here, though of course the African theme was totally lost.
