Western Diamondback Rattlesnake (Crotalus atrox)

I always wondered why they’d waste an exhibit in the reptile house with a taxidermy.

@RatioTile They had live rattlesnakes many years ago, but all died.

@ISAO Is it too hard for them to get another one? At least in the US they don't sell for too much online, even captive bred ones.

@RatioTile I’ve heard when rattlesnakes were still in Taipei, they were very nervous and sensitive to everything, so the exhibition of live rattlesnakes stopped very soon. When the last one died, there were no more rattlesnakes in Taipei. And I don’t know why they did not have new individuals.
