Creepy and bizarre. I have seen a patternless Western Diamondback (at Arizona Sonora Desert Museum) but it still had scales.
 
I did some investigating into this morph out of curiosity, and apparently they're fairly rare. Average retail price seems to be $1,000-2,000 USD per snake. They actually appear to be incapable of forming a rattle, all the pictures of the truly scaleless ones show just a nub.
I didn't think there was enough private demand for rattlesnakes (especially large and potentially dangerous ones like C. atrox) to facilitate breeding color forms, but apparently there's quite a few diamondback morphs available.
 
A very strange snake, I was surprised to see this picture here and even more today when viewing my photos taken this week at Planet Exotica. They have another scaleless western diamondback ! This one with pigmentation.
