I think I might have had to wait for years if I wanted to get a photo of a penguin balancing a feather on its beak - but this happened when I just wanted a nice photo of a rockhopper swimming.
@Austin the Sengi You're too kind: this photo was a complete accident. I was tracking the penguin as it swam underwater and I hoped to get a photo as it bobbed to the surface again. My sheer chance it came up under the feather which stayed balanced for a moment - which happened to be the moment when I pressed the shutter button.
