@David Matos Mendes unfortunately, this exhibit no longer contains mandrills. They were replaced with cheetahs recently, and the mandrills moved into what I think was the old Mona monkey exhibit.

That's actually sad to know... Wouldn't cheetahs prefer a more open field? Anyway, I hope the new mandrill place is at least equivalent to this one...
The cheetahs were moved over here after the painted dogs took up their old space. The mandrills now have half the space they used to and the exhibit they’re in is definitely a step down for them. What confuses me even more is that they have a second exhibit for cheetah shows that could have easily been used instead of the old mandrill exhibit. Mandrills were supposed to be phased out of Dallas’s collection, but covid probably haunted those plans.
@Dhole dude What a shame... Hope they change the inhabitants of this place soon. If they really stop keeping the mandrills at some point, another baboon species would fit way better than cheetahs in my opinion.
