They are quite common in the Tucson Mountains (and other areas on the fringes of Tucson). For those who don't know, the females are dark gray like this and the males are jet black.
@Arizona Docent Both female and Male look visually stunning in my opinion! Sadly a lot of animals that are quite common don't seem to have a presence in popularity, such as Various species of Woodpeckers in my area.
