@RatioTile It seems so. I don't live in Sydney and have only visited this place once in 2019 but looking at recent posts and videos by the zoo their platypus enclosure is usually this bright.
@RatioTile I forgot to mention but if you are looking for places to view platypus in well-lit conditions, Taronga Zoo currently has an outdoor enclosure for one which was really nice to see [Platypus Enclosure - ZooChat]. They also apparently have a platypus living in the Blue Mountains Bushwalk Aviary as well [Blue Mountains Bushwalk - ZooChat].
