Asiatic Lions in the Alfred Brehm House.
Rare pic, the old male actualy together with one of the females. He was very agressive.

Funny you mention him being agressive. I visited the Tierpark on two days in the trip. In a different part of the day or the day after I saw a pair in the outside exhibit which looked very peaceful, I have uploaded photo of them too, but I wonder if it was the same pair as is seen here? Then they would have had two Asiatic Lion males at the same time.

They must have had at that time 1,2 lions. So I guess she was just during the breeding with him, the only time he was not agressive.

Correct, this is inside, and the only thing inside the Alfred Brehm House you can actually call an exhibit. Everything else is a cage. But outside the cage are two rather small but all right old grottos for big cats, as well as new (i.e. built within the past 10 years) for Cheetah and Snow Leopard.
