Located behind the old bear grottos. It hasn't had any residents in many years.

This would make an amazing takin habitat! Maybe throw in some tahr or goral, a crane exhibit nearby and a retheme of the Big Cats area and boom, problem solved!

@Wyman I would actually disagree. The angle I took this photo makes the exhibit look much larger then it really is. Its last residents were a few elderly ibex that were moved here after the island was demolished circa 2007, and it was fine for them but much too small and narrow for any of the animals you just listed.

@pachyderm pro Ahh, OK. Still, is it a listed building in terms of possible expansion opportunities? Because with said expansion I can see them adding takin and the other species I mentioned here.

I remember that back in the eighties this enclosure held a breeding group of dall s sheep.

I still think adding some foliage and perching opportunities and netting this area would make it a great aviary for cold tolerant bird species from Asia,
