@Julio C Castro No worries, separating the two is typically extremely difficult! Often times the birds have to be examined in hand by an expert for accurate ID. Females and juveniles are often left unidentified when both species are present. Winter is the easiest time as Allen's winters in the US, nearly all Rufous do not.
@Great Argus that’s a good tip, now I know but I do feel relieved that it make take an expert or enthusiast to know the difference between both I was so stuck on which to identify it as!
