Giraffe ID (rothschild?)

The 2011 international giraffe studbook lists Belo Horizonte Zoo as only having one giraffe during 1995/1996 period:

1.0 Cupim from the Netherlands (at the zoo from 1976-1997) - retic/roth hybrid

Interestingly, the zoo acquired a pair of pure Cape Giraffes in 1999 from Natal Park, South Africa. A female called Zola and male, Rafiqui: https://www.researchgate.net/profil...99-2001-2003-2005-2007-2009-2011-editions.pdf

Cupim was a really beloved individual. He used to be known by the entire city here. I had no idea he could be a rotschild individual, but recently, while analyzing these old pictures from my family, I suspected of that.

Unfortunately, after breeding a considerable amount of times, the cape giraffes at BH were phased out in 2015. For what I know, many individuals in the country's zoos are their offspring.
