hmm they could turn this into a large monkey enclosure capable holding a couple of gorilla, make climbing frames, and make a cage to help them exercise! or it could be converted into a small african plains holding zebras, oryxs and gemsbox (or is it too small)

The African plains would be the better option as it would need less money spent on it, I think it's ideal for this, and no in my opinion it isn't too small.
After my visit on the 14th sept I can confirm that wolves were originaly in this enclosure it was after the wolves were moved to an enclosure slightly further down the zoo by the old miniture railway that was (by new chimpanzee enclosure) that the bears moved in.
The wolves were not in the enclosure for too long because there enclosure was over due for the opening of the zoo
After talking to an exkeepers son from Oxford zoo (thanks for the info solocatman) the original enclosure was were they kept the wolves until the zoo was opened
The son sad his father travelled from Oxford to Dudley on the day with the wolves and that they were put in an enclosure that had a upper viewing area by a small railway.
This is the only enclosure with a upper viewing area in the original zoo map.
On the original zoo map it shows this as being the Bear Ravine so I'm taking it that the wolves were moved before the opening day.
@Onychorhynchus coronatus it’s nothing too exciting, your average mixed South American enclosure, with rheas etc. The standout is a guanaco, but bears will replace them in years to come
