Humboldt Penguin Exhibit

I've read that this is a massive exhibit, and Humboldt penguins have been receiving some terrific enclosures in the past few years. Sedgwick County (2007), Woodland Park (2009) and this one are all fairly new, spacious and modern.

I am highly impressed that a minescule zoo would have such a great penguin exhibit. I think this zoo appears in the most part to be another "quality over quantity" zoo.

This is an amazing exhibit and the zoo has had a ton of success in a short amount of time with breeding them. The zoo has really been growing in the past decade from a small local favorite to really becoming the best zoo in upstate NY.
Another fun fact: This exhibit use to be the old Bear exhibit years ago and sat for a long time unused except by a couple of smaller animals near the old windows. Most of the rock work was reused for the penguins.

@Wyman If memory serves me It was either the Kodiak Bears before they lived on the oppsite end of the Trail or It was NA Black Bears, I was pretty young when they still used it for Bears, I mostly remember the smaller exhibits which had a Fisher in one and Tragopans in another
