Chlidonias

enclosure for Emperor Tamarins

February 2021
These open-topped callitrichid exhibits are really superb. Does anyone know if there are dangers from birds of prey or are the monkeys relatively safe?

@snowleopard - in New Zealand that isn't really an issue. We have only two bird of prey species: NZ Falcon which isn't normally found in cities (although they are in Wellington), and Australasian Harrier which also isn't usually found within cities and would probably have a hard job catching monkeys out of trees anyway.
