Chlidonias

enclosure for American Alligator

February 2021
There are two such enclosures, one on either side of a boardwalk. Each enclosure currently has one alligator (they have had more individuals in the past).

@Chlidonias They have two females (both born 2002). Tallulah is in the smaller enclosure; Dixie is in the larger enclosure and is identifiable by having her hind foot amputated. I don’t know what happened to the other three females - including Doris (1984). I assume they’ve died or were perhaps relocated to Ti Point after the four young females imported 2010 started fighting. This was the case for Doris and her sister, who initially lived amicably in the old Humboldt penguin pool.
