Taken 7/31/19. This aquarium is located in downtown Tampa, Florida and features 72 exhibits located along an interior visitor path.

I think it's great they let visitors see the inner workings like this. I visited the aquarium in the mid 1990's (when it was relatively new) and remember it being quite nice.
 
I should have taken a closer shot of the surface through the railings, but you know me...stand way back and take in the architectural setting!
 
This reminds me of Reef HQ in Townsville, Queensland which has a large central, open air reef tank and visitors can take a look at it from the roof of the building.
 
@Arizona Docent The infrastructure required to maintain aquarium exhibits is so big (perhaps larger than zoos?) that it is always nice to get that 'behind the scenes' peek.
