This is a massive giraffe barn too. Is it open to the public when the giraffes are inside during the winter and are other species kept in this building also?

It is open to the public. Inside are a couple of small mammal exhibits (pretty sure it was Xeric Four-striped Grass Mouse and Natal Multimammate Mouse last time I was there, but that could easily have changed).

...and change it has. The two rodent species on show in this house last week were Dusky Spiny Mouse (Acomys cahirinus cahirinus) and Cretan Spiny Mouse (A. minous).
