@Astrotom3000 No idea. I was just as surprised as you are. Could probably be another sort of polar bird like a raven or snowy owl, or it could be for something else entirely.
I feel if they were renovating for another bird it wouldn't require much if any work. Its not a great space for birds of prey or owls. I hope they can use it for a medium sized mammal personally.
The exhibit was definitely designed for birds of prey in mind, but yeah, if they were to house another bird species, I'd feel this exhibit would not require as much work as this photo suggests (when they held Bald Eagles, the exhibit was otherwise left mostly unchanged from what I remember).
Though given how tall this exhibit is and how small it is on the horizontal plane as well, I really can't imagine anything other than a bird going here. If they do decide to change things up and still keep the theme, I could see some arboreal mustelid like the Martens, or maybe something like Arctic Squirrels or Canadian Lynx.
