Zoo: "And this exhibit will be for Pot-bellied Pigs... people love those!"
Nature: "Needs more vultures."
Zoo: "What? No, this is exhibit is for-"
Nature: "Fixed it."
@Coelacanth18 Black vultures They're a major issue at many zoos around here. This zoo didn't have any domestic hoofstock in the pens (there were unmarked yards on either side of this one), they were all roaming around in the private area behind the buildings where it was more vulture-free. Between the vultures and the excessive amount of peacocks (plus guineafowl at cape may), it felt like I was in two really, really big aviaries
@TinoPup I was so focused on writing that joke I didn't even look to see what kind of vultures they were I haven't been to many zoos around that area, but Black Vultures are very common in the suburbs and countryside so I'm not remotely surprised to hear it.
Personally I think a wild vulture flock makes for a more interesting display than the pigs
@Coelacanth18 I'm not particularly interested in them at this point, because I see them all the time, way more than I see pigs ZooAmerica has signs up about them because there's so many, especially in the pronghorn and bear exhibits.
