Cape May - "Silver" Fox

This exhibit really confused me. The rest of the zoo has great signage, including about the leucistic deer being a color of white-tail, but then they treat this fox completely separately from the red fox? It's much larger than the red fox exhibit, as well.
 
@TinoPup They have two in the other enclosure. Foxes are normally solitary so it's not guaranteed that they'll get along. I believe both reds are old. This one is a very active and very young individual. That still doesn't completely explain things and I've always found it weird, as well.
 
@red river hog Definitely better to keep them apart because of activity level, though the red I saw was being very active. Lots of walking around, a few bits of running and jumping on things, coming up to the fence to make faces, etc
