Taken 3/29/21. This new exhibit complex is composed of 11 exhibits, 2 of which are refurbished existing aviaries. The feature mixed species exhibit houses Baird's tapir, capybara, Coscoroba swan, giant anteater, greater rhea, and Southern crested screamer.
Does anyone know what that building is doing in the South American Pantanal? :p Is it a condo/apartment development?

The zoo is right next to the Texas Medical Center, which is an absolutely huge area of hospitals and associated office buildings! That building is the Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza (I only know this by looking at a map out of curiosity to answer your question).
