Stop 1: Juvenile T. rex #1

The proportions seem pretty good, and it gets extra points for the non-pronated foreclaws. The scales are a bit large though, making it look more like a toy than a living animal. There’s also some shrinkwrapping on the face, where the fenestrae is showing through the skin, but it’s not as extreme as I’ve seen on other models like this.

However, I was a little bothered by this animatronic making the Jurassic Park T. rex roar, especially since the adult further on in the attraction doesn’t roar like that but instead makes more accurate hissing noises. This is at the entrance though, and I understand it’s there to draw people in. Most people’s first association with dinosaurs is Jurassic Park, unfortunately.
