Note that for the otters, sloth, and flying squirrels, it is much cheaper to buy coins and use those than pay the cash price! For sloth and otter, you use 10 tokens or pay $20, so minimum would be buying the 14 coin package and getting 4 extra coins over the cash price. If you did both $20 experiences, buying 22 coins would save you $10 and get you 2 extra coins.
You also don't need to purchase 24 hours in advance, obviously.
