Sturt National Park and the Tibooburra area for this recent set (the weather was heavily overcast as you can probably tell, and there was rain, thunder and lightning in the afternoons and at night). The previous sets were in Bourke, Narromine, Mudgee and the Capertee Valley.
@Hix@Hix Thank you. My last trip was to the Tibooburra area, a few months ago, but I did not see as many species as you. There were few birds to be seen at that time. Might head that way again, when the weather warms up a bit. Have you tried around Lake Bindegolly?
@Hix As long as there is plenty of water! There are two sections. Where the road is close to the water and another area further to the right (N.W?) I got to it by following the power lines; a bit rough in places but no real problem. Large flocks of various waterfowl, as well as avocets and waders etc.. All the grebes were also there at that time. Decent places to bush camp.
